3 Great Backlinking Strategies
When it comes to backlinking it is important that you have a strategy in place. This is because it is all too easy to get caught up in looking around, plodding through articles rather than doing what you should be doing – creating backlinks!
A strategy means that you can focus on what you should be doing, and do it again and again rather than trying to reinvent the wheel each time you need to create some backlinks. But what strategies work?
Whilst these techniques are hardly new they ARE powerful – and it is important that you include them in your efforts. It is amazing how many people know them but don’t do them.
3 Great Backlinking Strategies
- Blog commenting. Despite it being so common to know about blog commenting for backlinks it is still only really done by spam bots. Better to use automated tools to find you blogs in your niche with high PR inner pages and hand place the comment…better chance it will stick, better quality of link and more likely to get you traffic too.It is still possible to use tools to find dofollow comments that can pass on some very useful link juice.
- Profile creation. More controversial this one. Involves the creation of profiles on forums and then using the software to create some links back to your site – usually takign advantage of HTML/BBC coding in ‘about me’ sections.
As ever try not to spam this, ensure you add some useful content to a forum, not just spam it for links. You could also gain some useful extra traffic that way. - Guest posting. Everyone knows about article marketing – but what if you were article marketing on sites that Google doesn’t consider infested with spam? Post up useful articles on other blogs by asking if you can do so in exchange for a couple of links back. This gives you links from a trusted domain in your niche that your competitors aren’t getting…and allows you to be able to siphon traffic away from another site for your benefit!
